What if we sink
The trio make ancient chorales from Swedish hymnals and dance melodies from the valleys of southern Norway come to life. A gentle sway deepens into restless yearning — a mounting tension aching for release, wrapped in the heavy, tender embrace of water’s weight.
The instrumentation is unique: music otherwise played on the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle is here rendered with double winds and low, dark strings—down-tuned and atmospheric. In the sinking descent, the musicians search for rest and a sense of safety in their mutual interplay.

Med den unika kombinationen barytonsaxofon, basklarinett och oktavfiol och en orädd skaparlust har RÅ skapat ett kraftfullt sound som sticker ut från mängden. Traditionell svensk folkmusik möter improvisation, breda klanger och mörka baslinjer i en oväntad och fängslande fusion.
Den svensk-danska trion utforskar och utmanar den traditionella musiken med en stor dos av både humor och allvar. Med sitt kritikerrosade debutalbum MASSIV har RÅ visat att det fortfarande finns ny mark att bryta och nya sätt att tolka den svenska folkmusiktraditionen.
